Entrepreneurship begins with dreams. They create new ideas through the generation of random thought mutations. Some of these may be rejected by the mind as useless, while others may be seen as valuable and retained.
These valuable ideas cause our minds to generate reasonable grounds for belief that stirs the exceptional intellect or creative powers that reside with in each one of us.
Age is of no consequence when looking at becoming an entrepreneur. Dreams and the burning desire to achieve them are the main traits needed. Yet there are two other traits that need not be left out that are just as vital and they are persistence and failure.
Dreams, Desires and Persistence are traits I can understand that are needed to be a successful entrepreneur but how in the world can failures be helpful much less vital. Failure may seem to be out of place here but I assure you it maybe the most important trait of all next to our initial Dreams.
Let me explain by taking a look at a few great entrepreneurs of our past and present that to them failure was not an option.
Debbi Fields, founder of Mrs. Fields Cookies "The important thing is not being afraid to take a chance. Remember, the greatest failure is to not try. Once you find something you love to do, be the best at doing it."
Mary Kay Ash, founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics "When you reach an obstacle, turn it into an opportunity. You have the choice. You can overcome and be a winner, or you can allow it to over come you and be a loser. The choice is yours and yours alone. Refuse to throw in the towel. Go that extra mile that failures refuse to travel. It is far better to be exhausted from success than to be rested from failure."
-Albert Einstein clashed with authorities and resented the school regimen. He later wrote that the spirit of learning and creative thought were lost in strict educational situations. He wrote his first scientific work, "The Investigation of the State of Aether in Magnetic Fields at the age of 15. He once stated that I never allow myself to become discouraged under any circumstances. The three great essentials to achieve anything worthwhile are first, hard work, second, stick-to-ittiveness, third, common sense. He believedwe act as though comfort and luxury were the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about.
- Thomas A. Edison is known for the invention of the Light Bulb. He made over 10,000 attempts before he discovered a carbonized bamboo filament that could last over 1200 hours. When asked about the frustration of all his failures he responded "I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward." "I have not failed. I've just found 10, 000 ways that won't work." and another quote was "Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration." Edison is credited with 1093 us patents to his name.
These individuals have no more or no less than what you possess right now other than the courage to take a risk.
I`m sure you have knowledge, skills and talents that you excel in that others would love to benefit from. People want information and services that will make their lives easier and more productive.
Take this knowledge and stick to a single theme that you know and love. Focus most of your energy on becoming the "expert" in that field -- the source of credible helpful information for visitors. Quality relevant content is what they are searching for and want. Provide lots of it.
No matter what your business will be you will need to draw targeted traffic to it. People who are looking for what you have. This maybe products, services you are providing, generating referral fees, or clicking on affiliate links.
Your goal is to reach your targeted traffic and have them perform the task you want them to, whether buying your product and services or clicking to another site. You will reach that traffic a lot faster and easier if you give them quality content on what you and your business have to offer them.
This is why knowledge of your business and showing your customer that you are an expert in this area is so important. People buy from and listen to others if they feel they know what they are talking about and are successful. What you are doing by giving these prospects useful information is preselling your product or services.
Remember the traits of the entrepreneur? None of them mentioned age, that`s because anyone has the ability to start a business. But not everyone has the burning desire to try and accomplish the Dreams that are filling their minds with hope and excitement.
Fear of Failure is the number one reason individuals would rather living in mediocrity than embark on the exciting adventure of running their own business and being their own boss.
Dreams do come true to those that take action!

Read This If You Are Looking For A Home Based Business Company
With the growth of the Internet and people looking for ways to earn extra money, this has paved the way for home based business companies to double over the past decade. With this growth in network marketing, many new companies have sprung up to join the ranks of older home based business companies.
If you are thinking of starting a part time home business, or just want to see how your current home business measures up, take note of the critical things to look for when choosing a home business.
Stability is one of the first things to look for in a home based business company. It's best if a company has been in business for 2 to 5 years. There is really something to be said for companies that have stood the test of time
The longer the company has been around, the more chance of it staying around. There are enough things to worry about in network marketing, such as sponsoring and advertising, without having to wonder if your company will be around next year.
A company with a longer track record generally has a better chance of longevity. Even if you were to become the most successful home based business company, it wouldn't matter if they suddenly shut it down.
The second thing to look for is the one in charge of the company. Who is the president, and who are the directors? What is their track record? Have they spent time in the network marketing industry, or are they new to it all? What businesses have they been involved with in the past?
If you are not sure of the answer to these questions, email or call the company to find out. It is important that you know the answers to these questions from the outset. If you plan to spend a lot of time with a home based business company you would want to know the people you are dealing with. You want to make sure these people are honest, and have integrity in and outside of the business world.
Next, is the product that you are marketing. Generally the more products you have the better. The fewer products you have, the more your potential customers might not be interested.
There was recently a home based business company that went bankrupt. They basically only had a few products in the industry. Maybe if they had added some nutritional products they wouldn't have went bankrupt.
In addition to this, the products should be competitively priced, and somewhat unique. Fourth, find out how hard or how easy it is to start in your prospective business or company. Can people join online, or do they have to fill out paper forms?
Having the option to join online makes the whole process a lot easier. On the same note, having the option to join free will open up your opportunity to many more people.
Your home based business should allow people to join for free and let them market products to earn income. Once you have had someone join for free, they have partially committed to the business. This will make it easier for your company when following up with them.
Last of all, the more automated your home based business is the better it will be. You should get a personal company website so that you can refer prospects. All of your prospects should be able to contact you from your website.
Your home based business should have a series of emails that follow up with all of your prospects.
To end, I would like to make it clear that even if the work at home program that you may be researching seems to have everything mentioned in the above paragraphs, that does not ensure or guarantee your success in the business. You are the only person that can guarantee success in any business. So take the responsibility and make it happen. You are the X factor. That is the simple truth in a nutshell.

Successful Home Businesses on the Internet
When starting your own business, you are probably just like me. Excited and scared all at the same time. You want your business to be successful. But your scared you might make a mistake and mess up. You want consumers to know about your business but your really not sure what steps to take to bring your company to the attention of the customer. Trust me, Everyone who has started their own business, whether a storefront or a Home based business, has gone through this anxiety.
Do you remember in High school when you had to take those aptitude tests to see what kind of career you would do well in? I remember my test results told me that I would make a great store owner. My husbands also told him that he would do well as an entrepreneur. So as our life together started to grow we decided to open our own Comic book Shop. We where taking charge of our lives and becoming our own boss. I twas hard work. The day to day grind of finding the funds to start and the search for the perfect spot for our store took many months to achieve. But the hardest job we had was after the Store opened. We realized that we had to promote our business or we wouldn't survive. How were we going to get customers to come to our store? We checked into advertisements in the telephone directory and radio spots to Promote our business. But these programs were pricey and money was tight. We were facing what every business big or small faces. How do we get customers to come to our store without breaking our limited pocketbook? We had to get creative. We made large signs to put out on the streets. We made posters and flyer's and passed them out to different areas of the city. We did research and found out where our target market consumers hung out. Then we went there and hung out too
When starting your own business you need to consider what you need to do to promote yourself. Just like we did, you need to start thinking of ways to promote your business. And unless you are already rich, you want to find ways to save money while promoting. Here are a few pointers that may help you to promote your business without breaking the bank.
1. Do your research. Find out were your target market is. Your target market are the people that will be most interested in what you are selling. Go to websites that deal with the same product that you have. Go to Blogs and read about your business. hang out in newsgroups and Forums and talk to people. Find out where your target market is and then hang out with them. And don't forget to go to those conference calls and talk. People will start to recognize you.
2. Write something. Become an expert in your field. Write as many Ezine articles that you can about your business. The more you get your name out there the more people will recognize who you are and be interested in what you are doing. Write an ebook about your product. Or start a Blog. Be creative.
3. Through your new contacts start building a list of leads. Find out were people are getting leads for their websites. Find a lead Generation company that can help you find quality leads. There are great companies out there that can help you build your own leads without spending an arm and a leg. In fact many companies have start up programs that are free, but are packed full of information on how to get your name out there.
The key to a successful Business online or offline is getting to know your target market and having them get to know you. Call them. Treat them as friends. And remember to do your research. Hang out with the right people and your business will grow. But don't forget to treat others with respect. Word of Mouth is the best way to get others to come to your business. Treat them with respect and they will bring their friends along and treat you with more business. Happy growing!

Starting Your Own Business
In the present times, full of instability, with lay-offs and downsizing becoming a norm there are a lot of individuals who have turned the tide in their favour by starting off a business venture of their own. Starting off one's business is rewarding endeavor as you have the reigns of your destiny. It's no longer about being accountable to anyone or dealing with office politics but it just happens to be a one-man show.
There can be different reasons for starting off a business of one's own. For instance, there are certain people, who start a business due to the compulsions at home. Like the mother of a newborn baby might contemplate starting a new business from home as she would like to dedicate time to the baby as well. At times, compulsions such as having to care for a partner, spouse or a sibling posing difficulties in going out might prompt someone to start a business. Starting a business at home means that all these factors can be easily taken care of.
You can choose from a whole gamut of options to start your business. You can become a retailer or put your expertise to use by becoming a consultant in that chosen area. The business gives you the freedom of choosing the kind of work you always wanted. Thus, it also gives you a chance to live out those dreams.
If you intend to have a business at any stage of your life, it is advisable to do some savings right away, as business requires investment. You can expect to reap harvest, which are profits in this case, only if you sow the seeds, which is the money for investment. You can also check if you qualify for any business related loans. There are many grants also available for the people who are interested in opening a home business.
How much time and money is required depends entirely on the type of your business. Let's say, if you want to open a retail store, a restaurant, or a hospitality center you will need a much greater investment both in terms of time and money.
Instead, if you decide to run a home business like Avon, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, or Mary Kay, you can sell quality, name brand products from your own home. Such businesses prove to be quite successful for both men and women. And, there is hardly any monetary investment required. All you have to do is host a few home parties, attend shows, or sell over the Internet. You will enjoy the best of both the worlds by working from home.
One of the effective tools of marketing is by putting your network of friends, family and co-workers to build a feasible base of clients. The higher the base you are able to garner for yourself the greater is the scope for profits. However, once you have secured your client make sure that you have ready solutions for the clients.
If you decide to run a business from your home, make sure you delegate a specific area of your home as a business area. Whether this is a table, corner, or entire room, this business only area will ensure you treat your home as a business. Additionally, this business only area will allow other individuals to provide you with privacy necessary to do any business related tasks. Many entrepreneurs find themselves easily distracted by children, friends, spouses, or family members who disturb them during work time.

Keys to Successful Online Entrepreneurship
Many people think operating an online business is good idea to make some extra money or to provide them with a way to work anywhere they want. An online business can be a very lucrative way to make money. A online business can provide you with more income and more freedom with your time.
The key to having a successful online business is to find one that you believe in and that suits your style. For instance, if you don't like selling things or contacting people face to face or by phone, then you probably need to choose a online business that does not require these things. If the online business is selling a product that you, yourself would not use, or don't believe in, then it makes it very difficult to make a believable presentation to others.
A online business is not going to run by itself, either. Most successful online business entrepreneurs would tell you that their online business got to be successful by working at it, putting in the time and the energy to make it a success. There is no online business that does not require some work. There are, however, some that do not require a large financial investment by you.
The best way to find the perfect online business for you is to do some research about the many different online businesses out there. This way, you can feel confident that you have chosen a online business that you will be good at and will generate the income you are hoping for.

7 Paid Membership Site Ideas
You want to get started a paid membership site - you've heard all about its' potential to make long term, residual profits. You may have even read some suggestions on getting started.
I've written how important it is to develop a members site on something you love.
But, the problem is, if you don't have a clear idea on how to apply what you love to the actual implementation of a paid, members-only area, then you're stuck on the monopoly board without even a dice to roll.
So, I've put together some suggestions to get you started:
* How about Fashion tips for professional women aged 30 up. These women have a decent disposable income and an interest in looking good. Maybe they need to present well for their work, or more probably, they just want to impress their friends. Never undersetimate the importance of social pressure in fashion.
* Or Medical information products - you could give this a twist by finding information from people who have survived an illness, such as cancer, and using it in your membership site. You could even provide interviews with them, as well as interviews with medical professionals and natural therapists.
hunting online in niche areas - You probably don't want to go for a broad, job hunting membership, as you'd find a lot of competiton with large, well established sites. But if you have some expertise in a niche, you could include these special insider tips in a job hunting membership site.
* Do you think you could connect wannabes with professionals in any chosen niche? As an example, one membership site connects aspiring singer-songwriters with professionals in the music industry. How could you apoply this idea to your interests?
* What are the particular needs of professionals in an area in which you have expertise? It's going to be much easier to target professionals with needs that relate to their business than consumers with only a vague interest in the field. For example, instead of developing a membership site on gardening, what about a site for landscape design professionals?
* Moving overseas - there's a lot involved in relocating to a different country, and it can be daunting when people don't know anyone there. And you can be sure that the people involved here have money to spend, as it's not a cheap exercise. Even if they're relocating for work, they're probably in well-paid jobs if their company is paying for them.
* Travel guide - to a specific country - Do you know another country like a local? Do you have good contacts, or are willing to develop them, so you can deliver to travelers 'insider knowledge' and access to experiences that regular guide books can't? Done well, this can make for a very successful paid membership site, with a lot of back-end products.
There are many ways to approach a membership site, even for one topic. How you do so will depend on the type of potential members your niche has. By using your own interests and experience as a starting point, you can develop a list of possible topics to research.
Then, it's just a matter of picking the one with the most potential profit.
Some membership sites will be able to charge more than others, and some will have a greater potential demand. Ultimately though, you have to have some interest in the topic - or enough money that you can outsource all the content development whilst still maintaining the quality of the end result.
